Catholic Studies This comprehensive website gives the traditional Catholic answers to many questions about religion and spirituality. General topics include, the Church, morality, apologetics, Sacred Scripture, modern problems, e.g, evolution, modernism, freemasonry, etc. This site is highly recommended. Catholic Pamphlets.net is dedicated to providing public domain pamphlets and tracts on the Catholic Faith for free reading and download. It currently has more than 700 titles. This site is highly recommended. The Nazareth Master Catechism contains these catechisms.
A list of all of the Popes from Peter to Benedict XVI, with links to information on them. The Christian Classics Library Unfortunately this site cannot be absolutely recommended. Among many good Catholic books by saints and doctors of the Church are mixed books by heretics and other enemies of the faith. These books are available in various electronic formats. Searchable Douay-Rheims Bible online All the books of the Catholic Canon of Sacred Scripture are here in the Challoner revision of the Douay-Rheims edition. The books can be easily searched. The canons and decrees of the sacred and oecumenical Council of Trent, Edited and translated by J. Waterworth (London: Dolman, 1848). The most famous work of St. Thomas Aquinas, in English. Written by Walter Farrell, O.P., S.T.D., S.T.M., Member of the Thomistic Institute, Published originally by Sheed & Ward, New York, 1938-1942. St. Thomas Aquinas teaches us about God, and about His relation to His creatures.
Guide to Early Church Documents Links to documents of the early Church, canonical documents, creeds, writings of the Fathers, and other historical texts. This site contains a large collection of papal documents. Dr Roa is Associate Professor of History at St. John's University. His history writings are from a Catholic Perspective. He is also an excellent lecturer. All of his writings are on this website. Dr Chojnowski is a Thomistic Philosopher and probably the leading English speaking philosopher. He teaches Philosophy at Gonzaga Univesity, USA, and English and History at Immaculate Conception Academy in Post Falls, Idaho, USA ( a school of the SSPX ). He has been and still is active in the pro-life movement. He lectures on a wide range of subjects all treated from the viewpoint of St. Thomas Aquinas. Some of his lectures and writings on available on this website. He is the Father of a large Catholic family (six children) and very interested in developing solidly Catholic curricula for schools. Angelus Press - Catholic Books Angelus Press promotes the immemorial Traditions of the Catholic Faith and the Tridentine Rite of the Mass. As an apostolate of the Catholic press, it has the mission of spreading the Faith through Catholic books and religious magazine publications, offering resources ranging from the promotion of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the spiritual life, and lives of the Saints, to the crisis in the Church, theology, liturgy, and catechetics — anything that will help the Christian save his soul. The News from the Holy See Press Office. There is a weekly edition of this paper in English. Programming and schedules, also frequencies for listening on the radio, or listen on the web. A Catholic monthly from Niagara Falls. This is probably the best Catholic Newspaper available in English. The web edition contains only selected articles. It is worth the subscription price even for international subscribers. Catholic is produced by the Transalpine Redemptorists of Papa Stonsay, Orkney Islands, Scotland ten times per year. It is a traditional paper providing much of general interest to Catholics. Subscriptions are very reasonably priced. An Italian Monthly Zenit is an international news agency. It covers documents and events that concern the Catholic Church. They report on the writings and activities of Pope Benedict XVI, and the workings of the Vatican as well as other items of Catholic interest from around the world. It is not a Traditional site. CWN is an independent Catholic news service staffed by lay Catholic journalists, dedicated to providing accurate world news, written from a distinctively Catholic perspective. It covers moral issues as well as secular events. It is not a Traditional site. CIN offers information on the Catholic faith. Including the texts of papal addresses and encyclicals, news and other articles as well as to facilitate open discussion on all matters of Catholic life through various Internet mailing lists. It is our intent to adhere to the Magisterium of the Church, the Holy Father and the Bishops of the world united with him as pastors of the Church, while remaining open to dialogue with everyone. This is generally a good paper, produced bi-weekly from Minnesota in the USA. It is Traditional, however, sometimes the editors like controversy and publish articles opposed to Christian doctrine or morality, seemingly for the sake of debate. St. Rita's books normally displays a selection of their books for sale at Our Lady Help of Christians - Star of the Sea Church in Jolimont, Perth on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Immaculata BookStore and GiftShop This is a bookstore of the SSPX in St. Mary's, Kansas, USA. All of the books sold here are censored by a priest of the Society of St. Pius X. You can be certain that they meet the highest Catholic standards. The selection includes catechisms, lives and writings of the saints, papal documents, history, literature, daily missals, prayer books and a large number of books for children. In addition, they have statues, rosaries and crucifixes and scapulars, medals, holy cards and reliquaries. KTF has been providing audio tapes for thirty years. Now you can down load MP3 files of excellent lectures from their site. They have the best collection of Archbishop Fulton Sheen recordings, along with those of many other Catholic authors and lecturers. Prices are very reasonable. Pro Life Precious Life is Ireland's most active and effective Pro-Life organisation. Belfast based they have succeeded in keeping Northern Ireland abortion free, despite the fact that the British government believes that women there are deprived of the same "right" to an abortion that their sisters in England, Scotland and Wales have. Precious Life is active throughout Ireland and the UK. Miscellaneous Caelis Traditional Catholic Search Engine A site featuring a private search engine called the "St. Michael Traditional Catholic Webcrawler" and it is an engine that spiders Traditional Catholic websites. It provides full text search on all pages in its database. A site directory has also been integrated to complement the crawler. |
