The Crusader #342 - December 2019

The December intention is for the conversion of sinners.

Dear Crusaders and Friends,

“Advent” comes from the Latin word “Adventus” meaning “the coming”.

Who is coming? Our beloved Saviour, Jesus Christ, God for ever.

Why is He coming? Our Lord Jesus Christ comes into the world as a little baby, born of the Blessed Virgin, to redeem us from sin. Without Him, Heaven would have been eternally closed to us.

What should the Crusaders do during Advent? It is certain that Jesus expects something special from the Crusaders during Advent.

Jesus expects all men to be grateful to Him, and to stop sinning. But since most men reject Jesus and His love, preferring their own pleasure and finally, their perdition, Jesus wants the Crusaders to make up for the foolishness of sinners.

Moreover, Jesus is expecting some gifts from His children, that is, a Treasure of the good works you will have done for the sake of His Love.

Therefore, Crusaders, prepare for the coming of Jesus.

Prepare your soul. Keep in your heart thoughts of joyous hope, together with thoughts of sorrow for your sins, and for the sins of men. Make your soul beautiful, decorate it with many hidden sacrifices.

Prepare the house. Make a beautiful crib, I am sure that your parents will give you some practical advice for that.

During the night to Christmas, you will put a little Child Jesus in His crib, and you will be able to say to Him:

“My Jesus, my soul also is ready to receive Thee. Come therefore into my heart, and stay with me for ever.”

Yours in Jesus & Mary,

Fr. Benjamin Campbell
