Enrolment in the Militia Immaculatae at the Church of the Child Jesus & St. Joseph.

On the evening of Tuesday, the 27th of November, 46 men, women and children presented themselves as candidates to join the ranks of the Militia Immaculatae. The ceremony of enrolment took place at the Church of the Child Jesus & St. Joseph in Rockdale, NSW. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Benjamin Campbell.

The evening began with rosary and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Then followed the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Next came the actual enrolment ceremony. All lifted up their voices in song to the Blessed Virgin. Fr. Campbell pointed out the power that even natural things have when they are united to the supernatural by our prayers and sacrifices. The little image of Our Lady on the miraculous medal has the power to touch hearts. The postulants all renewed their baptismal promises and miraculous medals were blessed and imposed on those who had not yet received it. The ceremony ended with the Consecration to Our Lady of St. Maximilian Kolbe and a hymn to the Mother of God.

"O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee, and for all who do not have recourse to thee, especially for the Freemasons and for those who are commended to thy care."
