Abortion Is the Leading Cause of Death in the World

Our age is full of numbers. Everything is measured, cataloged, enumerated: the whole of human life is linked to figures. Statistics on anything and everything are posted regularly. However, we would prefer to ignore some of them.

But unfortunately the abacuses, the tables, the curves are in front of us and impose the ruthless crudeness of their light. Global abortion statistics provide insight into how much the world is in the grip of the evil one.

The World Health Organization (WHO) flaunts the numbers—to deplore that too many abortions are done in bad and dangerous conditions for women. But it admits that between 2010 and 2014, there were nearly 56 million abortions per year. Since 2014, the numbers have not declined.

In 2019, the number of deaths recorded was approaching 60 million. But the world’s leading killer, heart disease, has killed less than 10 million people. Even combined, the top 10 causes of death have not claimed as many victims as abortion.

Europe now has 740 million inhabitants: this is the number of aborted children in the world over the past 15 years. But they will never appear under the heading: death. They remain outside of those mortality statistics.

Besides, we avoid saying that they were killed: it was only a pregnancy that ended. They are dehumanized even in the charts and curves of health.

This dehumanization inevitably reaches those who live in a world that allows such a massacre: almost half of the dead in a year. This is not the end of a civilization: it is already dead, and on its ruins is built the city of man who made himself god.
